Unhealthy and hazardous levels of wildfire smoke continues to inundate skies across the state of Oregon and other areas of District 13 today. The Portland area is currently ranked as having the worst Air Quality in the nation due to the smoke. Seattle area is in the top ten as well.
Officials suggest to stay inside if possible, avoid outdoor activity, be aware of smoke in your area, bring pets inside, and avoid places with the highest levels of smoke. If you have heart or lung disease or asthma or if you are medically affected by the smoke, contact your healthcare provider and follow their advice. Follow instructions from local authorities if evacuation is advised due to threat of fire.
Our thoughts are with all those affected by wildfires and smoke in the western states. Please stay safe.
