Happy School IT Professionals Appreciation Day

Today, we recognize the dedicated HCS technology team members who keep our classrooms connected, our devices working, and our systems running smoothly. Whether they are troubleshooting behind the scenes, supporting staff and students, or helping bring new technology into our schools, their work makes teaching and learning possible every day.

Thank you for your patience, expertise, and commitment to HCS. We appreciate all you do!

Pizza with a purpose!

Through the Smart Mouth Pizza program, one meal is donated to a child in need for every 10 pizzas sold. Thanks to the participation of our students and schools, an incredible 30,492 meals were donated during the last school year!

Haywood Middle School: 14,274 meals
Haywood High School: 16,218 meals

We are proud that something as simple as enjoying pizza at school can help provide meals to children in need. Thank you to everyone who helped make this meaningful impact possible!

Course Spotlight: Growing Skills and Bright Futures!

Through the HCS CTE Horticulture program, students learn by getting their hands dirty! From plant care and landscaping to greenhouse management and agricultural science, students are developing practical skills they can use in college, careers, and everyday life.

Horticulture teaches more than how to grow plants—it builds responsibility, patience, problem-solving skills, and pride in seeing hard work come to life. We are proud to offer engaging opportunities that help our students discover their talents and explore future careers!
