Important Update for Haywood County Schools Families

As we prepare for the 2026-2027 school year, Haywood County Schools will implement a standardized student dress code across all schools.

This change is designed to promote consistency, reduce distractions, support a positive learning environment, and help students focus on what matters most—learning and achievement.

We understand that any change requires planning, and we are committed to supporting our families throughout this transition. To allow families time to prepare, students will have a 25-day grace period at the beginning of the school year to become fully compliant with the new dress code requirements.

Detailed information, including approved clothing options and frequently asked questions, will be shared with families throughout the summer.

Last evening, the Haywood County Board of Education proudly recognized four outstanding educators who have earned tenure with Haywood County Schools.
