Our mission is to raise awareness of the importance of conservation. All donations help keep the sanctuary open. This 527-acre preserve is host to a wonderful assortment of birds and other wildlife and is home to one of the last stands of old-growth Sabal Palm jungle in the United States. Green Jays and Chachalacas frequent our feeders, armadillos rummage around our trails, and Great Horned Owl ca

lls often haunt the forest. Take a stroll through the palm grove or a short walk down to the Rio Grande river.

There are over 3 miles of nature trails available at the Sanctuary.  From walking down to the Rio Grande River to taking a stroll through the Sabal Palm Forest, there is something for everyone to enjoy.
