**TREE CUTTING SCHEME**

Information has been received regarding a suspected group involved in unauthorized tree-cutting and tree-removal activity on the west side of town, particularly in the Rooks Drive area. The activity reportedly involves Jimmy Lee Kimbrough and approximately five other adult black males. They are reportedly driving a late model Dodge Ram Extended Cab; light in color.

Reported dates associated with the activity include August 31, 2026, and September 9, 2026, with activity reportedly occurring in the Rooks Drive/west-side area.

Kimbrough has reportedly been associated with tree work conducted prior to receiving authorization. There are also reports that he has used intimidation or confrontational tactics when questioned about tree work or authorization.

Based on information currently available, there is a concern that the activity may be part of a larger organized scheme involving multiple individuals. Similar activity is believed to have occurred in Shelby County, and information has been reported indicating that Jimmy Lee Kimbrough was arrested in 2025. The connection between the reported Shelby County activity and the current activity has not yet been independently confirmed.

If you see this person(s), or if they have made contact with you, please call the Brownsville Police Department at 731-772-1260 or Central Dispatch at 731-772-1215.

PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD.
