Brownsville Metropolitan Planning Organization The Brownsville Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) provides services to coordinate and address the different transportation activities and needs.

The Brownsville Metropolitan Planning Organization provides administrative support and technical services to coordinate, carry out and conduct transportation planning for Brownsville, Los Fresnos, the Town of Rancho Viejo and unincorporated parts of the MPO study area. The activities conducted by the Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) are intended to identify policies, programs and improveme

nt projects to address area transportation activities and needs. The adoption of transportation plans and policies by the MPO is an integral step in the process of obtaining federal funding for transportation improvements, and transit activities.

The Unified Transportation Program (UTP) Public Meeting will start at 4pm Central time. The presentation will start promptly at 4 pm, followed by public comments. The UTP Public meeting will last as long as public comments are being made. The official public comment period will be from July 12 to August 12. Attached for your reference is a comment form.
