📚 Annual State Clerks Conference

This week, myself and my deputies had the opportunity to attend the Annual State Clerks Conference alongside clerks and court professionals from across Indiana. These conferences provide valuable training, updates on legislative and procedural changes, and opportunities to share ideas and best practices with colleagues from around the state.

Continuing education is an important part of ensuring the Jackson County Clerk’s Office provides accurate, efficient, and professional service to our community. We look forward to bringing back new knowledge and resources that will help us better serve the citizens of Jackson County.

Thank you to the rest of the staff for keeping things running smoothly while we were away, and thank you to the residents of Jackson County for your continued support.

Jackson County Clerk’s Office – Open Position

The Jackson County Clerk’s Office is accepting applications for an open full-time position with an anticipated start date of August 3, 2026.

We are seeking a motivated individual with:
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced office environment
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• A positive attitude and team-oriented mindset
• County government experience preferred, but not required

This position requires professionalism, confidentiality, accuracy, and a commitment to serving the public.

The Jackson County Clerk's Office will be operating on a modified schedule Tuesday, June 9, and Wednesday, June 10, due to annual training and staffing needs.

⏰Office Hours: 8:00AM - 12:00PM

Normal business hours will resume on Thursday, June 11.

Today, the Jackson County Clerk’s Office participated in the VSTOP post-election audit process following the 2026 Primary Election.

VSTOP (Voting System Technical Oversight Program) works to ensure Indiana elections remain secure, accurate, and transparent through post-election audits and testing procedures. Today’s audit included a thorough review and testing process to verify the accuracy and integrity of our election equipment and results.

We appreciate the VSTOP team, election officials, and all those involved for their continued dedication to maintaining voter confidence and election integrity in Jackson County.

Transparency and security remain top priorities as we continue working to provide fair, accurate, and trusted elections for our community. 🇺🇸🗳️

With brand new voting equipment being used countywide, there were many new procedures and responsibilities to learn — and each of you handled it with professionalism, patience, and teamwork. Because of your efforts, we were able to have a smooth Election Day and get results out to the public quickly and efficiently.

Your long hours, commitment to the voters of Jackson County, and willingness to adapt to change did not go unnoticed. We truly could not do this without each and every one of you.
