🚔 Alcohol Compliance Checks 🚔

On May 29, 2026, the Brownstown Police Department conducted a series of alcohol compliance checks at bars throughout the Township using underage decoys.

We are pleased to report that none of the establishments visited served alcohol to the underage decoys. While this result made for a relatively uneventful evening for our officers, it represents a significant success for our community.

We commend our local bar owners, managers, and staff for following proper procedures, checking identification, and helping prevent underage alcohol consumption. Their diligence plays an important role in keeping our community safe and demonstrates a commitment to responsible alcohol service.

Thank you to our local businesses for doing their part and helping ensure that Brownstown Township remains a safe place to live, work, and visit.

During National Police Week, we are reminded of the incredible support we receive from our community — especially from our youngest citizens. 💙

The Brownstown Police Department would like to extend our sincere thanks to Jamie Thompson - State Representative for coordinating a special project with students from Hunter Elementary School. The thoughtful thank you notes written by students in Mrs. Poslaiko, Mrs. Tracey, and Mrs. Zavalney’s classrooms truly meant a great deal to our officers and staff.

The kindness, encouragement, and appreciation shown by these students serves as a powerful reminder of the positive relationship between law enforcement and the community we are honored to serve each day.

To the students and teachers of Hunter Elementary — thank you for your support, your kindness, and the smiles you brought to our department during National Police Week. Your words made a lasting impact. 🇺🇸🚔
