We’re really proud to share this article about The Willow Center and the last 14 years.
When we first opened in Brownsburg, we were small and just focused on doing good work and helping people who were struggling. A lot has changed since then, but that part hasn’t.
We still believe asking for help takes courage. We still believe people deserve to be treated with dignity. And we still believe recovery is about so much more than stopping substance use. It’s about rebuilding relationships, finding purpose, getting connected again, and creating a life you actually want to keep living.
One thing we say often at The Willow Center is that we meet people where they are, but we don’t keep them there.
Fourteen years later, we’re still growing, still learning, and still paying attention to where the gaps are in our communities.
We’re grateful for our staff, our community partners, and most of all, the people who have trusted us to be part of their story.
Thank you to Youarecurrent for taking the time to share ours.

Fourteen years ago, Ashley English started The Willow Center in a single suite in Brownsburg. Today, the recovery center has expanded its reach while holding onto the same philosophy: Meet people where they are — but don’t let them stay there.
