Its Firmware flash day, all my plc cards needed flashing, been putting it off for years but today with the new plc it was time to flash all the firmware's of my plc com cards and the plc itself.

Meet the new Christmas lights plc, it so much faster, the scan time of the plc went from 2.5 Ms to 0.5 Ms, this should allow me to get rid of an annoying blip every once in a while on the Christmas display. The new plc is a beast, it's a Emerson IC695cpu330, dual processor.

So I spent the day taking down all the lights, the new tree, and one set of the light towers. So I can snow throw without any worries, I will be taking down a set of lights each day for a while, dam it was cold today!

Finally got the last replacement controller, so the 21 foot Christmas tree goes live tonight!!!

I replaced the rack in the south enclosure today, no more lag and I was warm while I did it. Only one more part to replace and the Christmas tree will start shining.

Well I got a new card yesterday. Took me four hours to make it work, it's from the 90's. This runs the lights on the garage

Bad news everyone, I had a failure of one of my communication cards, that i wont be able to get fixed till Monday morning at the earliest. so the show is on hold till then, sorry.

Finally got the new 20 foot Christmas tree up! But of course it was wet and raining.
