Tonight the fire department had a demonstration of Holmatro battery-operated rescue tools presented by a representative from ESI. The crews were very impressed with the speed, power, and overall performance of the tools.

Council President Harper also came out to observe firsthand some of the training our members go through to prepare for emergency situations.

We would like to extend a sincere thank you to Billy Young, owner of Always Towing, for not only providing us with a vehicle to cut apart, but also allowing us to use his facility for the training. Support from local business owners like this helps us continue to train, improve our skills, and become a better department for the community we serve.

On Saturday morning May 30th at 12 minutes after midnight TF18/19 were dispatched to a report of a dwelling fire with a report of a person and an animal trapped at 314 Iroquois Tr. in the Country Lakes development. Battalion Chief Gemignani arrived to find a ranch style dwelling with smoke showing, upon the arrival of fire department resource an interior search and attacked was started.
