🚔 PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT 🚔
The Brownfield Police Department would like to remind all citizens to take a few simple precautions to help protect your property.
Recently, we have seen a string of vehicle burglaries throughout our community. In many of these cases, keys, cash, and other valuables were left inside unlocked vehicles and were subsequently stolen.
As summer arrives, we typically begin to see a slight increase in criminal activity. We encourage everyone to remain vigilant and take the following steps:
🔒 Lock your vehicle doors, even when parked at home.
🔒 Lock your home doors and windows.
🔑 Do not leave spare keys, key fobs, or garage door openers in your vehicle.
💰 Remove cash, fi****ms, electronics, and other valuables from your vehicle or keep them out of sight.
💡 Turn on exterior lights during the evening hours.
👀 Report suspicious activity to law enforcement immediately.
Working together, we can help keep Brownfield a safe place to live, work, and raise a family.
If you see suspicious activity, please contact the Brownfield Police Department at 806-637-2511.
