Congratulations to the Broussard Fire Department for being selected as one of five fire departments in the area for the SLEMCO First Responder Grant. The award will be used to purchase Firesled training equipment, specially designed to provide situational exercise.

Drumroll, please.....Announcing our first-ever, customer selected, Operation Round Up grants for first responder organizations in Acadiana. Each of the first responder organizations listed here will receive grants of up to $10,000 for equipment they need to help keep Acadiana and themselves safe during and after emergencies. Help us congratulate each of them! Thank you to the thousands of SLEMCO customers who voluntarily fund Operation Round Up each month by rounding their electric bills up to the nearest dollar. Your contributions will help Acadiana communities for years to come by funding these grants. Now, THAT'S what business/community partnerships are all about! Whoop!! Whoop!!
