Broussard Fire Department Providing incident response to the City of Broussard and unincorporated Lafayette and St. Martin We currently hold an I.S.O. rating of a Class 3.

The Broussard Fire Department protects the City of Broussard and surrounding areas of both Lafayette and St. Martin parishes by responding to structure fires, fire alarms activations, vehicle accidents,extractions,medical emergencies,hazardous material,and any other situation that may arise. Operating 10 pieces of appartus out of 3 stations, we protect 14 square miles of first due response distric

t including 7 state highways and part of the main railroad line connecting the Port of New Orleans and Houston, Texas.We are a combination department with stations staffed 24 hours a day by both parttime firefighters and a fulltime secretary. We also respond on automatic and mutal aid with Lafayette, Milton and Youngsville Fire Departments. We also assist the other departments of both Lafayette and St Martin Parish as needed on second alarm. We are commited to providing the best service possible to our citizens and vistors through dedication, leadership and continous training.

Broussard Fire Department recently hosted our First National Fire Academy Class! The class discussed Strategies and Tactics for initial arriving Engine Companies. We hosted students from 7 different departments! Thank you instructor Tim Woodward for an awesome class and Daniel Copeland with for allowing us to host the class! Broussard Fire is committed to leading from the front on training and serving our community!
