Thursday, October 15, attend an evening of music, storytelling and community. Don't miss the Fall Artist in Residence Performance: Stories of Migration and Music, a collaboration between Motus Theater and the Boulder Philharmonic String Quartet. The evening centers on Motus Monologists sharing artfully crafted personal stories, underscored by violinist Anthony Salvo, followed by musical responses curated by Fernanda Nieto, featuring works by Dvořák, Heins, Ponce and more, along with special guest readers.

It’s a chance to sit together as a community, listen deeply to the lived experiences of our undocumented neighbors and reflect through art. Learn more at Broomfield.org/ArtistinResidence.

The new Broomfield Library Cabinet has officially arrived at the Paul Derda Recreation Center!

Grabbing your next great read, movie or audiobook is now as easy as visiting the rec center!

How it works:
1. Scan: Use your Broomfield Library card to unlock the cabinet (or sign up for a card right on-site).
2. Select: Open the door and choose your items.
3. Go: Close the door. Items are automatically checked out to your account!

When you're finished, simply return items directly back to the cabinet.

Name That Cabinet!
Now that it's here, it needs a name! Stay tuned: a community vote to officially name the Library Cabinet is launching very soon here on the library's social media pages and at the library.
A huge thank you to the Broomfield Library Friends Foundation for funding this project and expanding library access in the Broomfield community!

📅Saturday, Sept. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Broomfield Library Parking Lot

Shakespeare in the Parking Lot is exactly what it sounds like — a 45-minute abridged performance of "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" that takes place in and around a pick-up truck “set” provided by the Denver Center for the Performing Arts.

Bring your lawn chair and experience Shakespeare in a whole new way!

Artist in Residence: Motus Theater Storytelling Workshop

📅Thursday, Oct. 8 at 6:30 p.m. in the Eisenhower Room, Broomfield Library

Join Motus Theater and Motus Strategist Alejandro Fuentes Mena for an interactive storytelling workshop exploring identity, courage and community. Alejandro will open with a short autobiographical monologue from Motus Theater’s "ImmigrantAmerica" project, modeling what it means to share personal stories with honesty and bravery.

Participants will then engage in an embodied writing experience designed to help uncover parts of ourselves that are often overlooked or diminished and reframe them as sources of strength. Together, participants will explore how our lived experiences shape who we are and how we show up in our communities.
