Congratulations, Firefighter Will Junod, for completing the Firefighter 1 course! Over 200 hours of training goes into this accomplishment.

Well done, FF Junod!

Over the holiday weekend our FF1 course completed their final burn West Chester Fire Department Training Center. This training completes the students modular training and combined with the mod 4 test, allows them to pass FF1 course. The students have another few days for Proboard testing for national certification. This course is only the start for these students firefighting careers. We look forward to seeing all come back for more courses.
Great work to the spring 2026 FF1 Course!

With help from Paoli Fire Company, our company drill this past Monday spent time reviewing the basics of Tanker Operations. While this skill is very uncommon in Marple TWP, our mutual aid calls have us traveling to farther areas where there may not be any hydrants. In this case, tankers such as Paoli’s Engine 03-5 would be needed to supply water for firefighting efforts.

This drill was extremely successful thanks to Randall, Ben, Rylan, John, and Sam from Paoli Fire Company. Thank you so much for traveling to Broomall and training alongside our crews!

This past week, crews from Broomall Fire Company assisted the Newtown Square Fire Company by staffing during the PGA Tournament. From 5:00 AM until 8:00 PM each day, our members stood by and responded to various emergencies, including providing support to Main Line Health EMS.

The PGAs brought an impressive number of visitors to the region. With nearly 40,000 attendees at any given time, this doubled, if not tripled, the amount of people spending time and traveling in our area.

This is all possible thanks to many volunteer hours throughout the entire event! Thanks to all the crews who stood by the event, staffed our fire stations and responded to an exhausting call volume for our region.

During our company meeting last evening, we took a moment to celebrate Anthony Quinn officially earning his black helmet!

Tony came to us with previous experience from another organization and has successfully completed his rookie book. Earning a black helmet signifies the completion of the formal firefighter certification as well as hours spent orienting to the equipment and policies of the BFC.

Congratulations, Tony! We are proud to have you on the team!
