Yesterday we had a visitor! Greg Burkett stopped by to donate a grand prize for our Easter Egg hunt!

Greg is a good friend of ours and wanted to help our event. Thank you so much for your donation!

We hope to see you all there this Thursday at the Moonlite Drive-In Theatre! The event will take place rain or shine! By the predicted forecast, we may have some rain. Make sure your little ones have a rain coat and umbrella!

The gates to the drive in will open at 5:00pm. The egg hunt is tentatively starting at 5:30pm, all depending on how fast we get everyone in! After the egg hunt the kids will have the chance to talk to our deputies, check out our Sheriff cars, and most importantly, meet the Easter Bunny! The free movie will start at 7:00pm.

Our office helper bunnies have been super busy stuffing eggs and baskets and getting ready for you on Thursday! Free movie, egg hunt and pictures with the Easter Bunny! We can’t wait to see you all!

Our Easter Bunny made his way to Punxsutawney! We caught him playing around at the famous Gobbler's K**b looking for Phil! He can't wait to see you next week!

The Easter Bunny has finally arrived in Jefferson County!! He sure is sore after that long horse ride!

Today our office met with Punxsutawney Eagles with the Easter Bunny to graciously accept a donation to our office.

The Reynoldsville Eagles FOE 540 Aeries and Auxiliary also donated to our office and our upcoming event!

We are extremely blessed to have such great businesses & organizations in our County who support us and the community! Thank you so much to the Punxsutawney Eagles and the Reynoldsville Eagles for your donations and support.

Stay tuned for more updates and pictures for our upcoming event! We sure were busy today showing the Easter Bunny around. He is super excited to meet everyone on April 2nd at the Moonlite Drive-In Theatre!

Please see the below scam circulating that is stating that you must scan a QR Code to pay for a violation for “Failure to Pay Electronic Toll/Toll Evasion” in Philadelphia, PA.

This was sent by text message but I’m sure they are sending it other ways as well.

Please be aware and do not fall victim to the many scams across the Commonwealth!

Are you, or know of anyone who might be struggling? We all know the price of fuel, groceries, utilities have been climbing. It's taxing trying to make ends meet! Have you had a holiday without a nice meal? Our hearts go out to you!

That's why our office has organized "Baskets of Hope" This is a 100% donation driven Easter food drive. We are aiming to assemble care packages to hand out to anyone in need, packed full of items so you can enjoy a nice Easter dinner.

If you are in need or know someone who is in need, we will be handing these out at our "Bunnies in Blue" Egg Hunt and Movie event on April 2nd. At this event, we will have one of our cruisers set up with packages in the back. You will just walk up and take one, no questions asked. We will have it off to the side, so you won't be in any spotlight! If you know of someone who could use one, then take one for them!

If you wish to help and donate to the cause, we have a donation bin setup inside the Jefferson County Courthouse front lobby. The list of items that we are looking for is on our poster. We will be collecting up until the week of our event.

Please check on your loved ones, friends, and neighbors. Make sure they have what they need. If you think they could use a package, pick one up for them, or invite them with you to our event and enjoy a free movie!

Thank you to all who have donated so far. Our hearts are filled with joy knowing we have such a caring community.

Our office has just received a photo and intel that the Easter Bunny has begun his journey to meet with us. When he arrives we are going to go over plans for our free Easter movie night at the Moonlite Drive-In Theatre!

Everyone is invited to our event on Thursday, April 2nd! We are going to have a free egg hunt for kids 0-10 tentatively starting at 5:30pm, a chance for everyone to meet and take a picture with the Easter Bunny, and the free movie to follow after!

We will also be handing out free Easter dinner care packages for anyone to take. Everyone deserves to have an Easter dinner!

Our office would like to send a huge thank you to the United States Deputy Sheriff's Association for their donation of a halligan forcible entry tool. This tool can be used for a multitude of situations & scenarios where forced entry needs to be made into houses, cars, etc. This will help us do it in a more safe and efficient manner. Thank you so much USDSA!

The donation box is in place inside of the courthouse lobby.

This is for our "Baskets of Hope" campaign to assemble ready-to-go Easter dinner meals to distribute during our Bunnies in Blue Easter movie event.

The Items we are seeking to be donated are:

Canned Vegetables
Jarred Gravy / Gravy Mix Packets
Canned Ham, Chicken, or Tuna
Instant Mashed Potato Packets
Cream of Chicken / Mushroom Soup
Boxed Stuffing
Cake Mixes & Frosting
Easter Candies

All donations will be gathered by our office and placed into individual care packages for the public to grab. Our goal is to help anyone in need to have an Easter Dinner. Distribution will take place during our Bunnies in Blue movie event. There will be a Sheriff cruiser with the trunk open, and the care packages will be there for the taking. No questions asked, whoever wishes to gather a package, just walk up and take one. All leftover meal packages will be donated to a local church for distribution.
