Please see the below reminder from the Brookville Fire Department during heavy storm events.

The current weather forecasts indicate the potential for strong to severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. And then a more significant threat may develop Wednesday afternoon through Thursday.

Hazards may include damaging winds, large hail, frequent lightning, isolated tornados, and localized power outages.

FLASH FLOODING will also be possible Wednesday afternoon through Thursday. PLEASE DO NOT WALK THROUGH OR DRIVE THROUGH STANDING WATER.

You have no idea what is beneath the surface of the water - large debris, sinkholes, missing manhole covers. And when you get stuck, others must be exposed to the danger. It is avoidable.

Turn Around. Don't Drown.

On why Brookville is such a great place to do business, owner Brandie Wright says, "Brookville is a growing community that still has a special small-town feel. After living in other cities, starting a business in our hometown that we grew up in felt like the right move. Our family has a close connection to Brookville’s original fire station and the opportunity to renovate it into something unique and special for the public has been a rewarding journey. It’s fun to see how our downtown is continuously growing and adding new shops and events for our surrounding community to come out and enjoy."

You can go to their website, www.mulberrymain.com or social media pages, https://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=61561559096545 or www.instagram.com/mulberry.main/for to follow to learn about all the great stuff going on at their store.
