💎 Community Classroom: Explore Jewel Cave! 🔦

Travel underground without leaving the library! Join us at the Spring Hill Library on Tuesday, September 8, from 4–5 PM to discover Jewel Cave National Monument, one of the longest caves in the world!

Stretching more than 220 miles, Jewel Cave is known for its incredible crystal formations and vast underground passages. Through a live videoconference, a Jewel Cave National Monument ranger will share how the cave formed, its discovery, and how explorers continue to uncover its mysteries today. 🦇

🩷🦋 Remembering Dolly Parton: A Legacy of Literacy & Love 🦋🩷

This week, the library remembers Dolly Parton not only for the music, joy, and kindness she shared with the world, but also for her extraordinary commitment to children, books, and literacy.

Inspired by her father, who never had the opportunity to learn to read and write, Dolly founded the Imagination Library in 1995 with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves the chance to grow up surrounded by books.

What began in her home county in Tennessee grew into a worldwide literacy movement, placing millions of books into the hands and homes of children.

For those of us who believe in the power of libraries and reading, Dolly's legacy holds a special place in our hearts. She understood that a book can be so much more than a story—it can inspire curiosity, build confidence, open doors, and help change the course of a child's life.

Her voice will always live on, and her legacy will continue to shine through every child who discovers the wonder and joy of reading.

Thank you, Dolly, for believing so deeply in the power of reading and in the importance of giving back to others. Your kindness, generosity, and love of literacy will continue to inspire generations. 🩷✨🦋
