The City of Brooksville is proud to support our partners at the Hernando County Sheriff’s Office for this FREE community event on Saturday, September 19, at Grace World Outreach Church.

Our Parks, Recreation & Community Programs Manager, Jordan Metzel, will be onsite leading a fun senior fitness class focused on mobility, movement, and staying active! 🧘‍♀️💪

The Expo will also feature valuable resources, safety information, fraud prevention tips, CarFit, and local organizations ready to connect with seniors and caregivers.

Before you head out, please be aware that road closures begin TODAY at 4:00 PM and remain in place until 10:30 PM.

📍 Road closures include:
• E. Fort Dade Ave. from Main St. to just past Magnolia Ave. (before the Post Office)
• Brooksville Ave. from E. Jefferson to E. Fort Dade
• Magnolia Ave. from E. Jefferson to E. Fort Dade
• The alleyway from E. Jefferson to E. Fort Dade

⚠️ PLAN AHEAD: Friday Night Live runs from 6:30–9:30 PM, but the road closures extend beyond the event. Please allow extra time for getting downtown, finding parking, and leaving the area.

Remembering September 11, 2001

Early this morning, our city flags were lowered to half-staff as we pause to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the victims, the first responders who ran toward danger, the members of our military who served in the years that followed, and the families and communities forever changed by that day.

Today, we remember their courage, their sacrifice, and the enduring spirit of our nation.
