We are so excited to spotlight our incredible FRYSC Student Advisory Member — Ellie Gallagher! 💙

Ellie is an outstanding student leader who is involved in so many amazing opportunities, including Beta Club, Gifted & Talented, 4-H, Archery, Trap Team, FBLA, and FFA. She is also beginning her 4th year as a FRYSC Student Advisory Member! 👏

From representing Kentucky at the FFA Washington, D.C. Leadership Conference to being selected for the Kentucky Department of Education Commissioner’s Student Advisory Council, Ellie continues to make an impact and use her voice to represent students across Kentucky.

She is also a full-time Young Scholar at MCTC, taking dual-credit coursework through Murray State University, with dreams of becoming a veterinarian! 🐾🎓

We are incredibly proud of Ellie and all that she is accomplishing! We can't wait to see where her leadership, dedication, and big dreams take her. 💙🐾

UPDATE: GIRL BEDDING AND QUEEN BEDDING ARE COVERED

We have a family that is in need of two twin size beds & frames for children, and one queen size bed with frame.

They also need bedding sets for a little girl (age 8) and a boy (age 13). The queen size bed would also need bedding.

The family is also needing a room divider. Any ideas are welcome!

If you or anyone you know have any of these items that are being gotten rid of please let us know!

Because of the incredible support from our community, over 175 students are ready to start the school year feeling confident, prepared, and ready to learn! 🎒✏️👟

Between school supplies, haircuts, physicals, clothes, and shoes, our students have what they need to walk through those school doors ready to take on a new year.

We truly could not do this without our amazing community sponsors, donors, volunteers, and everyone who continues to show up for our students. It takes a village, and Bracken County continues to prove just how strong ours is. 🫶

We had such an AMAZING turnout today at our Back to School Bash! ❤️🎒

We truly cannot thank our community enough for coming together and making this event possible.

A huge thank you to all of our community sponsors and everyone who donated to help us make today happen!

✂️ Thank you to Ashton Buchanan and Victoria Reed for giving our students FREE haircuts!

🩺 Thank you to Primary Plus for coming out and setting up with us!

📦 Thank you to Steven Teegarden, Dave Stephenson, and Mitchell Steinhauer for helping us transport supplies!

🏫 And of course, a BIG thank you to our BCHS crew for letting us use their space and working with us to accommodate our schedule!

Today was a great reminder of what can happen when our community comes together for our kids. YOU made this happen. Every pencil, highlighter, notebook, backpack, and donation helped make today possible. ❤️

We’ll share an update tomorrow with the total number of students we were able to help this evening!
