On Saturday evening, June 6, 6:30 p.m., it's the 17th Annual Environmental Film Fest at Schiff Natural Lands Trust Nature Preserve! This unique event starts with a hayride or short hike to the outdoor woodland amphitheater.

Guests are welcome to bring snacks/dinner or BYOB. Prior to the films, enjoy free ice cream courtesy of Cream of the Crop ( https://creamofthecropnj.com/ ), fresh popcorn, and a set of live music with a talented high school guitarist.

Then, films open with a special screening of "Mendham's Natural Tapestry," produced by the Mendham Alliance for Preservation & Conservation (MAPC). Board members Frank Zammataro, Marta Longo and Chris Neff will be there to discuss the film and work of this grassroots group.

The feature film "Good Grain" Hundred Year Films will be introduced by director Jared Flesher. This beautiful movie tells the story of Jersey's local grain movement — from organic farmers to artisan bakeries, and craft breweries.

This Saturday, June 6, 2026, The Nature of Mendham - Mendham Township Environmental Commission and Mendham Borough ECOSST Commission will host a Styrofoam EPS Recycling Day at Mendham Township Public Works, 40 Mount Pleasant Road, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

The following styrofoam items will be accepted:
Foam sheets
Foam coolers
Foam packaging

The following styrofoam items will NOT be accepted:
White foam cups
Colored foam trays
Food service trays
Foam egg cartons
Packaging peanuts

On Saturday, June 13, 2026, 9:00 a.m., beginning at Brookside Field, our very special Mendham Patriot 5k will kick off with special programming, games and activities to help commemorate America's 250th Birthday!

The Patriots Race is Mendham Township Recreation's largest fundraiser of the year - by signing up for the Patriots Race your registration fees will help fund future beach, fireworks, community and senior programming events.

The MTSD PTO is hosting our first-ever Adult Trivia Bee Night at the Brookside Community Club. This is a high-energy, low-pressure "Adults’ Night Out" designed for laughs, community connection, and—most importantly—ultimate town bragging rights. We are thrilled to announce that our District Superintendent will be one of the official emcees for the evening! Word on the street is that the Mayor is attending, alongside several other familiar faces from around the township.

Mendham Township Seasonal Employment Opportunities: Summer DPW Help Wanted

The Township is currently accepting applications for seasonal help (2 or 3 people) within our Department of Public Works (DPW) for the Summer 2026 season.

Position Details:
This outdoor role is perfect for students, recent graduates, or anyone looking to serve the community and includes competitive, seasonal pay. Tasks include grounds maintenance, park beautification, and assisting with various municipal infrastructure projects.

Basic Qualifications:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Possess a valid driver’s license.
Able to perform physical labor in summer weather conditions.
Reliable and punctual.
