Town of Brookneal Brookneal is located in Virginia in the Piedmont Region. It was established in 1802 from the lands of John Brooke and Sarah Neal. It was incorporated in 1908.

TRAFFIC ALERT!!

Please take note that on Saturday, September 19, 2026, from approximately 1030 am to 4 pm Main Street will be closed from its intersection with Cook Avenue down to 246 Main Street at the The Main Cultural Arts Theatre; this will also include the closure of Main Street intersections with Rush Street and the alleyway between Brookneal Tire Sales and the old Wells Fargo Bank building.
