For nearly two years, Brooklyn Supervised Release partnered with Fountain House ๐ค on a daily โCoffee Cornerโ initiative โ. Fountain House, an organization dedicated to supporting individuals impacted by mental health and substance use challenges, staffed a Coffee Corner station in our offices each day, offering complimentary iced coffee and custom sodas while connecting with participants awaiting their check-ins.
More than a refreshment station, the Coffee Corner became a welcoming space for conversation and community-building ๐ฌ, and a meaningful connection to Fountain House membership and resources.
As this chapter comes to a close โจ, we invited the Fountain House members who brought the space to life to reflect on their time in our offices and what the experience meant to them ๐.
