Eastern Parkway Library is getting a complete renovation. The library will close end of business on Saturday November 22, 2025.

All holds will be rerouted to nearby branch Crown Heights starting December 1, 2025.

The Bookmobile service will be provided near the library Tuesdays starting November 25, 2025 until December 30, 2025 from 11am-4pm.

Jewelry Making Workshop

Thursday July 29th, 2021 @ 4pm
Outside in front of the Library

Learn to design and create unique necklaces, bracelets, and earrings using fine material. In this hands-on workshop, transform beads of all shapes, colors and sizes into stylish accessories.

Seating is limited; first come, first served.

Do you want something fun to do this summer and love robotics?

Robot in a Box is a maker space experience in a kit where kids and teens (ages 9-17) learn to meld the imagination with STEM. Students will build robots marrying a kit of arts and crafts supplies, a computer, and mechanical parts. Along the way, they learn design thinking, mechanical and electrical engineering, and multiple programming languages.

In partnership with NYC First, BPL will host workshops throughout the summer to help students design, prototype, build and refine their robots.

In the Documenting Deco program, Art Deco design and architecture becomes the inspiration for young peoples’ own pride in New York City and their art-making processes. Young people are given the opportunity to make a personal connection with the visual world around them and see the role they can play in their ever-changing city. The first video introduces viewers to Art Deco structure and design.
