Red Hook Community Justice Center

Red Hook Community Justice Center Launched in June 2000, the Red Hook Community Justice Center is the nation's first multi-jurisdictional community court. Your Community. Your Court. .

A project of + The Red Hook judge has an array of sanctions and services at his disposal. These include community restitution projects, short-term psychoeducational groups, and long-term treatment (e.g., drug treatment, mental health treatment, and trauma-focused psychotherapy). Red Hook features an on-site clinic staffed by social service professionals who use trauma-

and evidence-informed approaches to assess and connect individuals to appropriate services. The Justice Center also works to connect court-involved youth to strengths-based programming, including art projects and peer education programs. The Red Hook story extends far beyond what happens in the courtroom. The courthouse is the hub for an array of unconventional programs that contribute to reducing fear and improving public trust in government. These include mediation, community service and a youth court where teenagers are trained to resolve actual cases involving their peers. The Center also has a housing resource center, which provides support and information to residents with cases in housing court, and an AmeriCorps program, the New York Juvenile Justice Corps.

🚨NOW RECRUITING – LEVEL UP COHORT 9🚨

Are you 16–30 years old and ready to take the next step toward a better future?

The Level Up Program at the Red Hook Community Justice Center is designed for young people who are system-impacted or justice-involved and are serious about getting their life on the right track.

Level Up is more than a program — it’s a pathway to opportunity, stability, and long-term success.

Through our cohorts, participants receive support with:
✅ Job readiness and employment opportunities
✅ Resume building and interview preparation
✅ Access to housing resources
✅ Mental health and supportive services
✅ Career planning and personal development

Our goal is simple: help young people gain employment, build stability, and move forward with purpose.

📅 Cohort 9 Dates:
March 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, and 25
(6 sessions over two weeks)

💰 Participants receive:
• $40 per session
• Transit cards (MetroCards) for transportation to and from the program

Even after the cohort ends, our team continues working with participants for up to one year to help them secure employment and stay on the right path.

This is your chance to Level Up.

🏀✨ An Unforgettable Season Finale! ✨🏀

Last Saturday, we proudly celebrated the culmination of the Play for Purpose: Basketball Empowerment Program with an incredible community event!

🎉 Players, participants, and staff were recognized with trophies 🏆 and plaques for their dedication, hard work, and commitment throughout the season.

Giving back was at the heart of the day 💙 new coats and winter accessories🧥🧤were provided for adults and children to stay warm this winter, raffle prizes, and 100 grocery bags were distributed, with Food Bazaar Supermarket partnering with us by contributing additional food items.
