63 Crime Prevention would like to remind you to Stay alert, Stay aware and Stay safe when traveling in your personal vehicle.

-Lock Your Doors
Keep your vehicle doors locked and windows up, especially when stopped.

-Stay Aware of Your Surroundings
Pay attention to people and activity around your vehicle, particularly when entering or exiting.

-Plan Your Route
Use well-traveled roads and avoid isolated areas when possible.

-Never Leave Your Car Running Unattended
Take your keys with you—even for a quick stop.

-Keep Your Distance
When stopped in traffic, leave enough space to maneuver around the vehicle ahead if necessary.

-If You Are Confronted:
Stay calm. Do not resist. Your life is more important than your vehicle. Give the offender space and call 911 (tel:911) when it is safe to do so.

Remember: Awareness is your first line of defense.

-Secure all doors and windows
-Keep security cameras visible and working.
-Maintain good lighting around your building
-Use a monitored alarm system
-Remove cash and valuables after closing.
-Limit access to keys, codes, and restricted areas.
-Report suspicious activity to law enforcement
Remember: Prevention starts with preparation.

In an effort to ensure Public/Traffic Safety during the Sail250’s aerial display, the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge upper level will be closed to vehicular traffic between 0945--1130 hours on Saturday, 7/4/26. The lower level will remain open.
