Marcy Library began life under a different name and in a different location. The Tompkins Park Free Library, located in the center of its verdant namesake, opened on June 6, 1899, in a pretty Grecian-style shelter with windows on all sides and an alcove for sorting books. The branch was assimilated into the new borough-wide system in 1901.

A big thank you to Carla for hosting an engaging program. From the first number called to the final round, there was plenty of excitement, laughter, and friendly competition. It was great to see everyone come together, test their luck, and celebrate the winners!

A huge thank you to Carla for leading such a fun and creative session. From bold spirals to colorful patterns, everyone brought their imagination and left with something uniquely their own. It was wonderful to see the community come together, get a little messy, and enjoy the process of creating something special.

Welcome back to our 7th Sip and Paint!

What a wonderful time we had at the Marcy Branch’s 7th Sip & Paint Program! 🎨🍷Patrons enjoyed an evening of creativity, conversation, and community as everyone put their artistic talents to work and created some beautiful pieces. Some of our painters took a creative turn and freestyled their own masterpiece. It’s always inspiring to see so many people come together to relax, paint, and share a fun experience.

A special thank you to Carla for leading the program and guiding everyone through the painting process. Your energy and creativity made the evening such a success!

🎨🖌️ What a fantastic time we had at our 6th Sip & Paint program! Thanks to everyone who came out to unleash their creativity. Your masterpieces truly brightened the day! ✨🍷

But the fun didn’t stop there… Our Mystery Program was a hit too! Everyone got to make their very own scented soaps with calming lavender and fresh rosemary, perfect for relaxing after a busy day. 🧼🌿

A huge THANK YOU to Carla and everyone who joined us for an incredible evening of color, creativity, and community. From first-time painters to seasoned pros, the talent in the room was inspiring, from bold colors to big laughs, this event brought the immaculate vibes, and we couldn’t have done it without YOU.
Beautiful masterpieces created plenty of sips 🍷, smiles, good conversation, and a perfect blend of art and library love ❤️

A huge thank you to everyone who joined Marcy for our first DIY Jewelry-Making program! We had such a great time getting creative, trying new techniques, and making some seriously beautiful pieces. From wire bracelets to beautiful anklets, the talent in the room was amazing! An amazing thank you to Carla for once again putting together a well-loved creative, and fun program!
