“60 Minutes pushed back its CECOT episode after Trump told a North Carolina rally Friday that he “loves” the new owners of CBS—his friends in the powerful Ellison family, who own CBS’s parent company, Paramount.

“CBS, I mean, I love the new owners of CBS. Something happened to them, though; 60 Minutes has treated me worse under the new ownership. They just keep hitting me. It’s crazy,” he said.”

The show announced a programming change just before its Sunday night timeslot.

History: Witness at the Border

JOIN this group to help end immigrant child detention and restore asylum in the United States.

This group was started in October 2018 to shine a light on the Tornillo detention camp in the desert at the outskirts of El Paso. The Tornillo children’s prison closed on January 11, 2019.

In February 2019 we turned our attention to what was then the largest of the federal prisons for migrant teens: Homestead. Florida’s Tornillo. A for-profit detention camp owned and operated by Caliburn Inc.

Now our target is the abomination of MPP, which turns refugees back at our southern border to wait in danger and deprivation. MPP=Migrant Protection Protocols=Remain in Mexico=Torture. We are also focused on the human rights violations of mass, expedited deportations facilitated by new policies (PACR, HARP, and ACA).
