Heartshare exists to remove obstacles, build stability, and allow for greater self-belief, self-advocacy, and independence. We support two specific populations across all of New York City: children and adults with developmental disabili

ties; and children and families dealing with the trauma associated with family separation. Each population faces its own distinct set of challenges and obstacles — and we are set up accordingly to meet them with understanding, evidence-based solutions, and interconnected programming.

A huge THANK YOU to the amazing volunteers from Liberty Mutual Insurance who spent two days cleaning up two of Heartshare’s Adult residences this past month! Your hard work and dedication have truly transformed our space—just in time for everyone to enjoy some gorgeous outdoor fun.

Heartshare’s residential program provides adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities a safe home environment and the opportunity to become active members of their communities. Our homes are vibrant and ever-changing, and a vital step toward independence.

We’re so grateful for the generosity and spirit of Liberty Mutual volunteers! 💙

Shout-out to the golfers who helped our young people in foster care from Heartshare’s American Dream Program discover their swing (future pros alert!). And our student-run businesses, Bake & Bloom and Ash & Co—from Heartshare’s school for students with disabilities—for bringing treats, smiles, and hands-on fun. Grateful to everyone who made this event a hole-in-one for Heartshare! ⛳️
