SEWA-AIFW is proud to partner with QUEEN(S) for its world premiere this Thursday, September 17, at Riverview Theater, followed by a week-long run from September 18–24 at Emagine Willow Creek in Plymouth.

QUEEN(S) tells the powerful and deeply human story of Sisi, an undocumented immigrant in Queens, New York, navigating work, belonging, and survival in a system that leaves little room for error. Raw and intimate, the film explores endurance, dignity, family, and the courage it takes to build a life against the odds.

September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month, a time to remind ourselves that mental health is just as important as physical health. 💚 Talking about mental health can be difficult, but starting the conversation can help reduce stigma, build connection, and remind others that they are not alone. There is hope, help is available, mental illnesses are treatable, and su***de is preventable. Reach out to someone you trust, ask “What’s going on?”, and seek support when you need it. If you or someone you know is in crisis, call or text 988 for the 988 Minnesota Lifeline.

SEWA-AIFW extends our deepest sympathies to the people and communities affected by the devastating flash floods in Nepal. Triggered by a glacier collapse and landslide, this tragedy has resulted in widespread loss, displacement, and urgent humanitarian needs, with thousands requiring essential water, sanitation, and hygiene support. Our thoughts are with those who have lost loved ones, those awaiting news of family and friends, and all those working tirelessly in rescue and relief efforts. We stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal and the affected communities during this difficult time.
