We’ve completed the installation of 37 new speed humps across Buckminster Rd, Tappan St, Beaconsfield Rd, Clinton Rd, and Clark Rd as part of our ongoing traffic calming efforts. These improvements are designed to slow traffic, increase safety, and make our neighborhoods more walkable for everyone.

Thank you to residents for your feedback and partnership in creating safer streets for our community.

Congratulations to the Brookline High School Class of 2026 graduates and their families!

Looking for a way to make graduation season less wasteful? Donate your BHS Cap and Gown to the Town Gown Collection Project for reuse in future years! Doing so helps reduce single-use graduation regalia and support younger schoolmates!

Collection bins will be located throughout Graduation on June 7th, and will be moved into the BHS Main Lobby after the event, until June 12th. A collection bin will also be available in the lobby of the Brookline Village Library until June 30th.

The Town Gown Collection Project is a collaboration of current BHS students, faculty, parents/alumni parents, and the DPW’s Zero Waste Program.

Rethink Your Yard Care This Spring

Before you grab the fertilizer, take a second look at your lawn habits. Overwatering, over-fertilizing, and choosing the wrong plants can send pollution into storm drains and downstream into rivers and ponds all around Brookline.

This spring, keep your yard healthy and our water clean: • Go native—local plants need less water and fewer chemicals • Mulch like a pro—it locks in moisture and keeps weeds down • Skip the daily soak—water only when needed, preferably in the morning

These small changes can make a big difference for water quality. Clean yard, cleaner waterways.
