Fifty-two years ago, on October 20, 1972, two West Point Cadets, Morris Pierce and Steve DiSilvio, ventured to the United States Naval Academy on a mission to infiltrate enemy territory and disrupt their rivals' routine. What they returned with was the Navy goat. Unsure of where to hide their prize - meant to be revealed during the Army-Navy game in early December - they turned to Morris Pierce's roommate, Cadet Alan Walker. That's when the goat found an unlikely refuge at the Walker family home in Upstate New York, leading to a series of memorable events. This bold prank became the longest "goat-knapping" in the history of the Army-Navy football rivalry. Last year, I published the full account in a book, capturing the wild events before, during and after the 1972 Army-Navy game. It's a true classic!!!!
