Great things are happening at BCS and we are excited to share with you the wonderful activities our school community is participating in. Our dedicated teachers, staff, parents, community and Board of Education work together to ensure students leave our school with the 21st Century Learning Skills necessary to be successful in whatever endeavor they embark upon post-graduation. Some of the ways in

which the school community prepares our students for success are:

Teachers are implementing the Common Core Learning Standards with fidelity. Students have access to rigorous STEM programs such as Engineering By Design and Robotics Club. Students taking Regents Algebra II/Trigonometry and Regents Chemistry have increased learning time for two of the most rigorous Regents exams. A school wide improvement program, Raising the Banner has been implemented to increase student achievement. This exciting initiative is helping the entire school community to move from good to great. We look forward to sharing with you many more programs and activities that make up this great school and community.
