Meet Ruby and Mary Jo, two nurses who served in Vietnam during the war. They came to the Library's Talking About Books discussion of "Healing Wounds" when author Diane Carlson Evans was unable to attend. Ruby is a good friend of the author. A few days after this photo was taken, the author passed away after a battle with cancer. Diane Carlson Evans's incredible legacy includes founding the Military Women's Memorial in Washington D.C., for which she received the Presidential Citizens Medal.
