Wisconsin Department of Transportation Update

Beginning Saturday, June 13, 2026, and continuing for approximately three weeks, crews will mill and pave the center and right lanes of eastbound and westbound WIS 190 from west of Brookfield Road to I-41.

Work will occur during non-peak travel times, including overnight and weekends.

WIS 190 will be reduced to one lane in each direction during this work.

Motorists can expect short-term closures and flagging operations at driveways and intersections.

Noise and dust are associated with this work; measures will be taken to minimize impacts.

All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

6/12/2026 8:05 a.m. The Water Drop Alert is now over with no sewer overflows. Thank you for reducing your water usage during this alert.

Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District - MMSD has issued a Water Drop Alert due to the recent heavy rain and storms. Reducing water use citywide will also help ease strain on the City operated Fox River Water Pollution Control Center.

When storms hit, every drop matters! Using less water helps prevent basement backups and sewer overflows.

Please do your part: turn off your taps when not in use, delay laundry and dishes, take shorter showers, and empty your rain barrel.

By the way, did you know the City is serviced on the eastern side by the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District (MMSD), and on the western side by the Fox River Water Pollution Control Center (FRWPCC), which is operated by the City of Brookfield, due to straddling the sub-continental divide?!
