Today Isaac, Cody and Mercedes participated in the Area 4 Wool Judging contest in Ballinger and represented Brookesmith FFA well! They had fun trying something new, and are excited to continue to learn more about this contest and continue to participate in it in the future! Congratulations y’all! 😊👍🙌

These FFA members did great today representing Brookesmith at the Livestock Judging contest and they had a great time! We ended the sunny, beautiful contest day with Subway and ice cream—couldn’t have been a better day!

There’s no cooler way to celebrate than to complete our site visit presentation with the Texas FFA Association staff as the final requirement of our chapter trying to receive their official FFA Charter! The officer team did an INCREDIBLE job presenting about all of the awesome things they are doing in Brookesmith FFA and sharing about the legacy they’d like to leave behind for the future generations of FFA members at our school.

Congratulations to Elida, Trey, Shu, Jerry, Kyler, Brenden and Hayden on all of your hard work and dedication this year to making sure that we accomplished all of the charter requirements. And thank you for helping start FFA at our school! You all have positively impacted your school and community and, quite possibly, just made history today! Go Mustangs! 💙💛🤩🥳

Today was a fun day! First we had our March FFA Meeting and had Mr. Watson of Watson Roofing as our guest speaker. He’s a former FFA member and spoke to the importance of ag and FFA in his life. Then, Wildlife class learned how to stick roast biscuits over a fire for a lesson in their camp cooking unit! The kids had fun getting some fresh air and making delicious treats!

To kick of National FFA Week strong, FFA members cooked up an amazing breakfast of homemade burritos, eggs, bacon, donuts and fresh fruit with juice for our amazing staff! The kids wanted to make sure their staff and teachers knew how much they appreciate them and all they do for our school—and to thank them for supporting our new FFA Chapter! Today Jerry and Trey competed at the TSTC Brownwood Welding Contest and made boot scrapers! They had 2.5 hours to use the materials and equipment provided to make the boot scraper according to specifications on the blueprint, and they did amazing! Congratulations guys, you went out there, gave it your all, and brought back some new skills and experiences. Brookesmith Ag Department and FFA is very proud of you both!
