100 Hispanic Women is committed to serving Latinas throughout Westchester and surrounding areas. Our goal is to foster educational enrichment and create opportunity for women, while guiding them towards personal and professional advancement. We were founded in 1997 as a non-profit organization devoted to guiding Latinas towards excellence in leadership. Today we can proudly announce that thanks to

the dedication of our loyal members, sponsors, and friends, we are achieving our mission. As documented by the United States Census Bureau, the population of Hispanics has surpassed 44.3 million, and is projected to reach 102.6 million by the year 2050. However, the educational growth of Hispanic women remains a concern and something that 100 Hispanic Women strives to improve. The Young Latinas Leadership Institute (YLLI) is our scholarship fund for college students in good standing and committed to public service. Our signature event is the Latina Leadership Forum held annually in October. It is an educational forum with prominent Latina speakers and we present scholarships at this event. We also host a toy drive and networking event the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving Day, and a literature event with contemporary Hispanic authors. Our events and workshops throughout the year offer women of all backgrounds, opportunities for growth and development. The professional and educational growth opportunities for Latinas in this country are tremendous. As part of our mission, we will continue to examine the many challenges and opportunities ahead of us, while reaching out and building bridges with members of our community. We are fueled by our vision to inspire and challenge Latinas and women of all backgrounds, to maximize their strengths and their potential, while becoming equal partners in an empowered world of equal opportunity with equal justice, recognition, respect and dignity. 100 Hispanic Women is a non-partisan, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
