🤝 Community Outreach Spotlight 🚨
The last week of July was a busy one for Levy County Emergency Management as our staff had the opportunity to participate in several community outreach events throughout the county.
📍 Saturday, July 25 – Assistant Director Caleb Hardee and Coordinator Jordyn Del Vecchio attended the Back to School Bash at Chiefland Methodist Church, where they handed out free school supplies and shared emergency preparedness information with families getting ready for the new school year.
📍 Monday, July 27 – Caleb was invited to speak at Bronson United Methodist Church about personal preparedness. The presentation covered a variety of topics, including hurricane risks, family communication planning, building a disaster supply kit, protecting your home, insurance tips, and evacuation zones. Bronson United Methodist Church also provided refreshments and supply kits to attendees, complete with informational flyers, flashlights, first aid kits, hand sanitizer, and pens.
📍 Tuesday, July 28 – Caleb and Jordyn attended the Family Resource Event at Bronson First Baptist Church, hosted by the School Board of Levy County. With a construction-themed booth, they connected with families by providing emergency preparedness resources, giveaway items, and school supplies.
Levy County Emergency Management would like to thank the organizers of each of these events for inviting us to be part of your outreach efforts. We'd also like to thank everyone who stopped by our tables, attended the presentation, or took the time to speak with us. Every event is an opportunity to help make our community more resilient, and we are grateful for the chance to share resources, answer questions, and connect with the people we serve. As always, we look forward to future events!
