LEVY COUNTY VALUE ADJUSTMENT BOARD (VAB)
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – LEGAL SERVICES

Notice is hereby given that the Levy County Value Adjustment Board (VAB) is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified attorneys or law firms to provide legal services to the VAB.

The selected attorney or firm will serve as legal counsel to the VAB and provide advice and representation in accordance with Florida Statutes and applicable guidelines.

All interested parties are encouraged to review the RFP document in full for detailed submission requirements, evaluation criteria, and deadlines.

🍉 What a wonderful day in Chiefland! The sun was shining, the sidewalks were lined with smiling faces, and the entire community came together — as they do every year — to celebrate the Chiefland Watermelon Festival and honor one of rural Florida's most beloved agricultural traditions. 🍉

The parade was a highlight — crowds packed the sidewalks and the energy was electric. The Florida Freedom Tour was a great addition to the festival this year. It’s a statewide traveling mobile history museum launched to commemorate the 250th anniversary of the United States.

This is what small-town Florida is all about: fellowship, friendship, fantastic food, and the pride of a community that knows its roots. Levy County is blessed with festivals year-round that bring neighbors together and remind us why rural Florida is truly special — the people and the land.

It was an honor for your Levy County Constitutional Officers to spend the day right where it matters most — with you, our community.

As America approaches its 250th birthday, the Levy County Board of County Commissioners invites students to participate in an essay contest by answering the following prompt in 100 words or less:

“As America approaches its 250th birthday, explain how the American flag represents the values of the United States.”

Deadline: May 30, 2026

Submit essays to: [email protected]

Winners will be recognized by the Board of County Commissioners and receive a Levy County Challenge Coin during the Annual Flag Day Ceremony on Monday, June 15, 2026.
