From City of Broken Arrow:
As a Brentwood subdivision resident, you know a residential street rehabilitation project has been underway to improve the streets in your neighborhood.
You have likely noticed that the construction activity has been paused. This pause is a result of a stop-work order issued by the City of Broken Arrow to the contracting company performing the improvements. A stop-work order is issued when the parameters of a contract are not being met according to the agreed-upon established standards of the City of Broken Arrow’s Engineering Design Criteria.
We sincerely regret that the stop-work order for the improvements in the Brentwood subdivision was necessary, however as stated previously, the city’s standards were not being met. The City of Broken Arrow will not compromise the quality of the improvements to public infrastructure.
Since the stop-work order was issued, discussions with the contracting company have been promising. At this time, we do not have a timeline for resumption of the construction work, however, residents can have confidence the concrete panel replacement project in Brentwood will continue and be completed.
We understand that construction work is inconvenient, and it is magnified when the disruption is near your home and takes longer than planned. We apologize for the delay that is happening in your neighborhood. It is our goal to resume the improvements projects as soon as possible.
