Last night's TARA meeting turned out to be one of our best ever ! We had a great line up of speakers including Mark Tedford - candidate for Congressional District 1 representative; John Fothergill - candidate for Tulsa County Treasurer; Dr. Jim Baker - candidate for Tulsa Tech School Board; and Adam Jones speaking on behalf of DA Steve Kunzweiler. Other candidates in attendance included Sandy Hodges - House District 12; Colleen McCarty for Tulsa County DA; John Wright - Tulsa County Assessor; and E'Lena Ashley & Michael Phillips - For Tulsa School Board. We were also glad to have former Insurance Commissioner John Doak join us, as well as, former Tulsa County GOP Chair Bob Jack, former Tulsa County GOP Vice Chair Jenifer Stevens, Broken Arrow Republican Women Leader Mary Ann Colston, Congressman Kevin Hern's representative Charles Borsom, Tulsa Republican Club President Charity Marcus, and current Tulsa County GOP Chair - Melissa Myers. A big shoutout to Senator Brian Guthrie who provided an update on the current legislative session and some of the bills in the works. It was also great to have several members of Tomahawk Strategies team on hand. The house was packed, the food was delicious and a good time was had by all. Appreciate everyone that turned out and a big thank you to all those that became members !

An incredible start to our TARA meetings at La Huerta Grill. Our July program this past week welcomed gubernatorial candidate Charles McCall as our keynote speaker. Members and guests were also treated to hear from candidates Marty Quinn, (Insurance Commissioner), Justin Hornback (Corporation Commissioner), and Dr. John Cox (State Superintendent). We also got an update on Congressman Hern's recent activities from Sam Mulready. The room was packed (and cool), the food was great (Taco Tuesday)
and the speakers were all on topic.
We heard from representatives from all the local clubs detailing the candidates that they will have speaking at their upcoming meetings. We ended the night by giving away two wonderful door prizes to a restaurant that is near and dear to our hearts !
Next month TARA welcomes Attorney General candidate Jon Echols.
