MEET THE TEAM MONDAY: Records Clerk Krista Seltmann

Krista began her career with the Broken Arrow Police Department in 2024 and serves as an important member of our Records Division.

The work of our records clerks touches nearly every area of the department. They are responsible for processing, organizing and maintaining police records while ensuring information is accurate, properly documented and available when it is needed. Their attention to detail helps support officers, detectives, prosecutors and members of the public seeking records or information.

Much of this work happens behind the scenes, but it plays an essential role in keeping the department organized, protecting sensitive information and ensuring each record is handled carefully and professionally.

Outside of work, Krista enjoys traveling with her kids, spending time with her dog and riding horses.

We are grateful for Krista’s dedication and everything she does to support BAPD and the Broken Arrow community!

We are proud to have so many dedicated women serving throughout the Broken Arrow Police Department and making a difference in our community every day!

Today, Chief Lance Arnold joined Tulsa County District Attorney Steve Kunzweiler, U.S. Attorney Chris Nassar and leaders and representatives from agencies across the area for a 9/11 remembrance event honoring the lives lost 25 years ago.

We appreciate the opportunity to come together on a day that continues to hold so much meaning for our country and those who serve.

Today, we pause to remember the lives lost and honor the courageous men and women who gave everything to save others on September 11, 2001.

Following the attacks, one of BAPD’s chaplains, Scott Keele, traveled to Ground Zero twice to provide counsel and support to first responders and recovery workers facing unimaginable circumstances.

His experience is a powerful reminder of the courage, resilience and compassion that emerged in the wake of tragedy.

Twenty five years after September 11, 2001, Broken Arrow police officers and firefighters joined first responders from across Oklahoma at First Place Tower to climb 110 stories, the equivalent of the World Trade Center towers.

Wearing their full gear, each step was taken in honor of the first responders who ran toward danger that morning and made the ultimate sacrifice.

Each BAPD and BAFD participant climbed while carrying the name of a first responder who lost their life in the line of duty on September 11:

Chief Lance Arnold and Major Stephen Garrett got to spend time with our friends from the BA Transition Academy this morning when they stopped by with goodies to thank our officers!

There were plenty of familiar faces in the group, as many of our officers have had the chance to get to know these students through Special Olympics. We are grateful for their thoughtful visit and always love getting to spend time with them!

The BAPD Citizens Police Academy Masters Class welcomed Officer John Tice, who presented on behalf of the Chickasha Police Department. Officer Tice discussed gangs, security threat groups, drugs and state resources available to help law enforcement address these issues.

Having retired from the Oklahoma Department of Corrections and served with multiple law enforcement agencies, Officer Tice brought valuable insight from across the criminal justice system. Presentations like this give Masters Class participants a broader understanding of the agencies, resources and partnerships that support BAPD’s work and public safety throughout Oklahoma.

The Broken Arrow Police Department hosted the Tulsa Metropolitan Area Law Enforcement meeting this morning. Chief Lance Arnold facilitated the meeting as law enforcement leaders from departments and agencies across northeast Oklahoma shared organizational updates, resources and information.

These meetings strengthen partnerships and help agencies support one another as we work together to better serve communities across northeast Oklahoma.

MEET THE TEAM MONDAY: Police Officer Kristen Dalgleish

Officer Dalgleish joined the Broken Arrow Police Department in 2022. Before coming to BAPD, she began her career as a police officer with the Sand Springs Police Department in 2020 and previously served as a dispatcher for the Tulsa Police Department.

She is also a member of BAPD’s Mounted Patrol Unit alongside her horse, Romeo. The unit supports public safety at large gatherings while giving officers a unique way to connect with the community. You may have seen Officer Dalgleish and Romeo at community events, parades, the Citizens Police Academy, Camp Bandage and many other events throughout Broken Arrow.

Outside of work, Officer Dalgleish is passionate about dog rescue and fostering in the Tulsa and Broken Arrow area. She has fostered 47 dogs and only kept one! Her dogs have also participated in dock diving classes right here in Broken Arrow.
