We received some wonderful pictures of Vega living her best life in her forever home 💚 We are so grateful to our APCSM adopters for changing the lives of these loving animals and giving them the second chance they deserve.

PATIENT HOME OR BARN CAT PLACEMENT

Meet Squirrel! Squirrel is a 2 year old neutered male who came to us as a stray. We don’t know much about his past, but we do know that the shelter environment has been VERY overwhelming for him. He is also unfamiliar with life as an indoor cat, which has left him feeling nervous and unsure.

Squirrel is looking for either a patient home that understands he may need time to build his confidence or a potential barn cat placement with someone experienced with less socialized cats. His ideal home would be quiet and with someone willing to let him take things at his own pace.

Squirrel could potentially live with another cat with a slow and proper introduction. We know there is a sweet boy underneath all that nervousness, and we are hoping someone will be willing to give him the time and patience he needs to show it.

If you are up for the rewarding challenge of gaining a fearful cat’s trust or could offer Squirrel a safe barn cat placement, he may just be the one for you!

💚Alumni update from August 26th:

"Hello!

My name is Savannah. When I was 11, I participated in a yard sale and made enough money to adopt who I didn’t know would be my forever best friend!! Today is his 17th birthday!

About 17 years ago my mom and I walked through your doors and met Snickers who was once named “King”. He was 1 at the time. We had him come into one of the meeting rooms with us and he hid almost the whole time haha, but I knew he was perfect for me!!

Over the last 17 years a lot has happened. Snickers has lost some teeth, so we get a funny snarly smile sometimes or dripping water from his chin after he takes a sip! He has had multiple siblings throughout the years from dogs, cats and human! He has a bestfriend named Saywer (also adopted from you guys when he was a kitten) and they cuddle constantly. Sawyer always gives snickers baths and tries to play with him, but snickers wants to sleep cuddled up next to his humans. Snickers is deaf now, but we make sure he knows he’s a good boy daily in many ways! Snickers has been the best cat son, and he’s gotten to grow alongside my own daughter these last 6 years. He's always been and still is the sweetest, most tolerant and cuddly boy!!! been very excited to share this alumni update, as he has changed my families life and we are so grateful to have adopted the perfect cat from you guys💜.

💔 Ginger has been waiting for her forever home for almost ONE YEAR.

Can you imagine spending your first year of life waiting for someone to choose you?

Ginger has been lucky enough to have a loving foster home for the past several months, but she’s still waiting for the part that matters most: her forever family. 🥺🐾

Ginger is a sweet, goofy, energetic girl who absolutely LOVES life. She’s happiest when she has something fun to do and a person by her side. 🎾

She loves:
🐾 Chasing tennis balls and playing fetch
🐾 Going for long neighborhood walks
🐾 Hiking and exploring the woods
🐾 Being right by her person’s side
🐾 Curling up on the couch for a well-earned nap after an adventure
🐾 the Patriots 🏈 OF COURSE

She has already made so much progress with leash training, and with a consistent routine and someone willing to keep working with her, she has all the potential to become an amazing adventure buddy.

Ginger does best as the only pet in the home and would prefer a home without young children. She is continuing to work on her manners and will need an adopter who is patient, consistent, and committed to continuing her training.

But here’s the thing about Ginger:

She is worth it.

She’s goofy. She’s affectionate. She’s energetic. She’s wonderfully weird. And she has SO much love to give.

If you’re looking for a loyal companion who will happily join you on walks, hikes, adventures, and then take over your couch (and probably most of your personal space), Ginger might be your girl. 🐶❤️

She has waited long enough.

COURT UPDATE ❤️

Our new court date is October 13th at 9:00 AM.

Unfortunately, the last court date came and went with nothing happening, and everything was pushed back. 😔

It’s frustrating. It’s heartbreaking. And honestly, it’s exhausting to keep waiting for justice.

But I’m not giving up. We will keep showing up, keep speaking up, and keep fighting for the ones who can’t speak for themselves. They deserve justice, and I’m going to keep fighting until they get it. 🐾❤️

October 13th… we’ll be there. 🙏

Lester here. I was adopted 2 yrs ago and I'm living my best life. I have been coming to Paws in the Park and Dogtoberfest since I was adopted. I enjoy seeing all the staff that took such good care of me while I was waiting to be adopted, and they still remember me! I'm such a handsome boy, and Mom tells me I'm her best boy. I've been showing my brother the ropes since he came to live with me. He's not the smartest, but we're working on it.
