π§ Pothole Season Has Hit the Town of Sweden β And Itβs Hitting Hard on Some New York State DOT Owned Highways π§
With heavy snowfall and repeated freeze-thaw cycles this winter, potholes are surfacing earlier β and in greater numbers β across the Town of Sweden. Some of the most significant deterioration is being seen on New York State highways, including Route 19 (Main Street / Lake Road South) and other state routes running through our community.
While the Town Highway Department works hard to maintain town-owned roads, many of the roughest stretches residents are experiencing are maintained by the New York State Department of Transportation β NOT THE TOWN OF SWEDEN.
