🔥 Training, Training, Training! 🚒

Tuesday night’s training was an interesting one! While training on mobile water supply operations w/ Carolina Trace FD, crews encountered a busted water main. In the true spirit of the fire service, we adapted and overcame. CTFD deployed a TurboDraft and was able to pull water from the break, allowing crews to continue the evolutions.

We think it’s safe to say everyone present learned a thing or two! Thank you to the Town of Broadway for the quick response to mitigate the water break, and to Carolina Trace Fire Department for another great night of training! 👨‍🚒🤝

** Grant Award **

A big thank you to DripDrop and National Volunteer Fire Council for including us in the 2026 DripDrop Hydration Giveback Campaign! This donation of DripDrop electrolyte drink mix will help keep our firefighters and other first responders hydrated during training, emergency responses, extreme heat, and long incidents. Staying hydrated helps our crews perform at their best and stay safe on the job.

National Night Out Recap!

Sometimes things just work out; our chance at the weather paid off and we got three full hours of sunshine and fellowship in with you, the community we serve! Thank you to everyone who came out, and especially to all those who helped put this event together and make it possible!

📢 Weather Update – National Night Out

We have been closely monitoring today's forecast and have been in communication with the US National Weather Service Raleigh NC . At this time, we are planning to proceed with National Night Out at the Broadway Community Center as originally scheduled.

While there is a possibility of a brief passing shower, current forecasts continue to change, and we have decided to remain optimistic. And hey, worst-case scenario, we got a water slide already so you can just join in on the fun!

We look forward to seeing everyone from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM for an evening of community fellowship, local first responders, family activities, free food, and much more. See you at the Broadway Community Center this evening! 🚒🚓🇺🇸
