Health Science Nursing Students participated today in a Career Fair featuring CHRISTUS Hospital held at Jacksonville High School. It was a wonderful learning experience with lots of information for our students to utilize when making future plans after high school. It was hands-on with a station representing each department within the hospital.

Nursing Science students attended the Gulf Coast Blood High School Workshop at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital in Lufkin today. Students learned about blood typing, found their own blood type, and toured the Labs and Cancer Center. Thank you St. Luke’s Memorial for this experience!

Culinary students practiced their skills during a knife skills unit.

Culinary cutting techniques, or knife cuts, are a set of standardized methods for preparing ingredients to a uniform size and shape for even cooking and appealing presentation.

These students learned that attention to detail and use of all skills can set your work apart!
