Kindergarten students at B-P Elementary School celebrated a milestone in a big way during the annual KinderFair!

Students explored carnival games, visited the petting zoo, enjoyed pony rides, got their faces painted, and participated in a variety of activities designed to recognize all they have accomplished during their kindergarten year.

KinderFair is a cherished BPES tradition that gives students the opportunity to celebrate their hard work, growth, and success before moving on to the next chapter of their educational journey.

Congratulations to our kindergarten students — we can’t wait to see all you accomplish in first grade!

Students in Tessa Filiberto’s classes at BPMS recently took part in a unique writing assignment — crafting letters to famous individuals and professional sports teams!

Before mailing their letters, students completed two rough drafts before producing a final draft that focused on proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, and professional communication skills. The letters were sent out in mid-March, and students are already beginning to receive responses back.

So far, replies have arrived from the Green Bay Packers, the Detriot Lions, Nebraska Volleyball, and President Donald Trump, creating plenty of excitement in the classroom as students see the real-world impact of their hard work and writing skills.

We look forward to seeing what other responses may arrive in the weeks ahead!

📚😂 Students at Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School enjoyed a fun-filled visit from author Alan Katz today!

Known for his popular Silly Dilly Songs series, Katz shared stories from his career as a children’s author and television writer, gave students a behind-the-scenes look at the writing process, and inspired plenty of laughs along the way.

Through humor, creativity, and audience participation, students learned that great stories can come from the most unexpected places. Thank you to Alan Katz for an unforgettable day of reading, writing, and imagination!

Pre-K students at B-P Elementary School have been enjoying a special series of mystery readers throughout the second half of the school year! 📚

During the month of May, kindergarten teachers and staff members have been visiting pre-K classrooms to read with students and help ease their transition to kindergarten next year. The visits give students a chance to connect with adults they might see in their classrooms in the fall while building excitement for the next step in their educational journey.

So far, students have welcomed school counselor Sarah Gabriel and kindergarten teachers Ashlyn Hillis, Rebecca Ahern, Jennifer Towne, and, soon, Katie Simonds. Parents have also joined in as mystery readers, creating meaningful opportunities for family involvement in the classroom.

Thank you to everyone helping make this transition fun, welcoming, and engaging for our youngest learners!

Thinking about joining the B-P family? Pre-K registration is still open! Visit our website or contact the district office to learn more about enrolling your child for the 2026-27 school year.

🏆 HISTORY MADE! 🏆

For the first time in Broadalbin-Perth history, BOTH the boys and girls track & field teams are Sectional champions!

This incredible accomplishment is a testament to the dedication, hard work, and determination of our student-athletes, coaches, and support staff throughout the season. Competing against some of the best teams in the section, our Patriots rose to the occasion and delivered a performance that will be remembered for years to come.

Congratulations to every student-athlete who contributed to this historic achievement. You have made Broadalbin-Perth proud and etched your names into the record books!
