WE’RE READY, B-P! 🇺🇸

Faculty and staff are back, classrooms are ready, and the countdown is officially down to ONE DAY!

On Wednesday, we welcomed keynote speaker Dr. Linda Jordan, who taught faculty and staff about the neuroscience of learning. Dr. Jordan challenged our staff to recognize the potential in every student and reminded us:

“You’ve got to believe in every single child who walks into your classroom, because every single one of them has unbelievable potential.”

The staff is ready. The schools are ready. Now we just need our students!

See you tomorrow, Patriots! 🎉

🎉 Welcome to B-P!

Broadalbin-Perth welcomed its newest faculty members during new teacher orientation as they prepare to begin the 2026-27 school year.

New teachers spent the day getting to know the district, meeting colleagues, connecting with their mentors, and learning more about the schools, resources, and support available to them.

We’re excited to get the newest members of the B-P family on board and can’t wait to see all they’ll bring to our classrooms and school community!

After 34 years of dedicated service to his alma mater, including nearly two decades as superintendent of schools, Stephen Tomlinson has announced his plans to retire in March.

"After growing up in Broadalbin, and spending every day of my life in this community, it has been the honor of a lifetime to lead our schools for the past two decades," Tomlinson said.

Please join us in thanking Mr. Tomlinson for his decades of devotion to doing "what is best for the kids and families of the Broadalbin-Perth school community!" 👏

📚 Middle school orientations are wrapped!

Our incoming sixth and seventh graders are one step closer to the start of the 2026-27 school year! Over the past few weeks, students have had the opportunity to explore B-P Middle School, meet staff, catch up with classmates, learn about routines and expectations, and get a feel for what’s ahead.

The sixth grade class marks the first cohort since 2020 to attend middle school at B-P. Since the 2020-21 school year, sixth graders have attended Broadalbin-Perth Elementary School.

Orientations are a great way to take some of the unknowns out of the first day and help students walk through the doors on the first day of school feeling a little more prepared and confident.

We’re excited to welcome our newest middle school students back for the start of the 2026-27 school year! 💙❤️

🎣☀️ Summer on the water with the B-P Fishing Club!

B-P students made the most of this summer through our summer enrichment fishing trips, hosted by Brian Henry and Mick Gottung, co-advisors of the district’s Fishing Club.

The group did a little bit of everything — fishing, swimming, lake tours, boater safety, and even some bird watching, with plenty of eagle sightings along the way! 🦅🌊

Thank you to Mr. Henry and Mr. Gottung for making these experiences possible!

Last chance! 📚🌲

There’s still time to hit the Tale Trail at B-P Elementary before this story makes its exit! 📖👋

Take a walk through the trail and enjoy the current story, “If You Think There’s Nothing to Do” by Dr. Seuss, with the family one more time before it’s changed out next week. It’s the perfect summer activity to squeeze in before school kicks off! ☀️📚

Don’t miss your last chance to read, explore, and enjoy the Tale Trail! 💙
