The City of Britton tree dump site is open today from 9am-5pm. There will be no charge for use of the site today as residents clean up from the storm last night.

Reminder: Memorial Day flowers/items should be removed from graves, per City Ordinance 2.20.150. If they are not removed by June 15, they will be placed behind the shed at the cemetery for a week before they are discarded. This includes shepherd hooks and anything not in a vase that's attached to a headstone.

2.20.150 - Articles, decorations and memorial removal.
A.No shepherd's hooks, plants, or other ornaments shall be allowed on graves/lots other than as set forth herein. The city shall not be responsible for articles placed on graves/lots and may remove, without notice, any article considered objectionable or detrimental to the aesthetic value, peace, or tranquility of the cemetery, or which interferes with the care and maintenance of the cemetery.B.Floral or other decorations may be placed on a grave/lot in conjunction with an interment but will be removed from the grave/lot as soon as they become wilted or unsightly, and persons wishing to retain any must move them within forty-eight (48) hours after interment.C.Memorial Day wreathes, flowers, and ornaments may be placed on the graves/lots starting nine days prior to Memorial Day and must be removed no later than one week after Memorial Day. Memorials not removed by owners or next of kin will be removed and discarded by the city.

Rubble Site fees will now be added to your utility bill each month. If you have unpaid invoices from 2025, those fees will show on your June bill. Punch cards and annual passes are still available for purchase at City Hall.
