Did you know-
The MC911/MCSO move experienced 0 (zero) downtime of the 911 system, administrative phone system, radio system and CAD system during the move last week?
Our dispatch relocated to Aberdeen to Brown County Sheriff's Office dispatch center to utilize a position in their PSAP. This allowed a MC911/MCSO dispatcher to answer 911 calls from Marshall County. With equipment acquired during upgrades over the last 7 years, our dispatchers were also able to dispatch the call they processed to the appropriate public safety agency(s), from Aberdeen! This plan took months of meetings, calls and questions and lead to a successful transition from old to new.
A sincere thank you to our vendors- Minn-Kota Communications (radio/admin phones), Lumen (911), Venture Communications Cooperative (ISP) who were available at a moments notice to answer questions during the planning process and who were on-site during the move.
A special thank you to South Dakota Department of Public Safety (State 911) for coordinating, supporting and assisting in this move.
And probably the most important thank you to Brown County Sheriff's Office for allowing us to utilize their facility and equipment during this move.
A special shout out to Brown County SD Office of Emergency Management and Marshall County Emergency Management for additional equipment, planning and support for this move.
