During National Police Week, we would like to recognize the efforts of Jamie McFarland. For the past 7 years, Jamie has worked with a multitude of different companies to help make Police Week special for the officers of the Bristow Police Department.

Each year, our officers receive bags filled with donated items from various vendors as a thank you for the work they do in serving our community. While it may seem like a simple task, coordinating these donations and putting the bags together takes nearly three months of hard work and dedication.

We are grateful for Jamie’s continued support of our department and for all of the vendors who generously donate each year to show appreciation for our officers.

Thank you to the following for your generosity and support:

On May 6, 2026, the Bristow Police Department received a call from Bristow Public Schools regarding a threat made toward one of the school sites. Upon receiving the information, the Bristow Police Department was able to identify the origin of the threat.
The Bristow Police Department then began working with the Creek County Sheriff’s Office, District 24 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, and the Creek County District Attorney’s Office to resolve the situation. Through a coordinated team effort, these agencies were able to execute a plan that ensures the safety of our students, community, and visitors from this threat.
We would like to thank Bristow Public Schools for their attention and assistance during this time. The Bristow Police Department and our partner agencies will continue working to keep Bristow Public Schools safe and secure.
At this time we are unable to release any further information due to the age of the suspect.

April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

The Bristow Police Department and the City of Bristow are committed to protecting the most vulnerable members of our community, our children. This month serves as an important reminder that preventing child abuse and neglect requires a united effort from families, neighbors, and community partners working together.

National Child Abuse Prevention Month recognizes that strong prevention services and community support systems play a critical role in helping parents and caregivers provide safe, stable, and nurturing environments for children.

The Bristow Police Department firmly shares this commitment. Every child deserves to grow up in a safe and secure home. We encourage our community to remain vigilant, support one another, and report any concerns to the appropriate authorities.

Together, we can make a difference.

The Bristow Police Department recently addressed an unauthorized encampment located on private property on the south side of the city.

This area had generated ongoing concerns from residents, including reports of theft and other criminal activity. Officers had previously responded to the location, including an incident where an officer was attacked by a dog.

On April 2, 2026, officers made contact with individuals at the site. Each person was given time to gather personal belongings and important documents. Transportation to shelters in Tulsa or other locations was offered to all occupants, but all declined.
During the cleanup, officers located narcotics paraphernalia within the camp. With assistance from Creek County, the site was cleared to prevent reoccupation. Individuals present were issued trespass warnings and allowed to leave the area.

The Bristow Police Department remains committed to responding to citizen concerns and working to keep our community safe.
